A sweet order from Nectar and Stone

Working in marketing and being a girl I have an over fondness for things that are aesthetically pleasing. So when I stumbled across Nectar and Stone on Instagram, I fell immediately in love. Owned by Donna-Caroline Khoo, Nectar and Stone create feminine desserts that tempt your eyes, heart and tastebuds.

Since the company is run out of Melbourne, I knew I couldn't get my hands on their beautiful cakes or macarons, so I opted for the next best thing - the famed pyramid chocolates. Jumping straight onto my email, I placed my order, paid the money and waited only a couple days for them to arrive. Yippee!

Pretty packaging

The pyramid chocolates come in packs of 12 when you order them online, with each square costing $2.20 each. They're so, so, soooo pretty - with gold leaf and chunks of oreo cookies threaded throughout the sweet chocolate.

There was definitely some ooohhhs and aaahhhs at the office when I unwrapped the packaging. But everyone was definitely much more impressed as I offered them round to try. After all, what's better than lavish food items than sharing them!

The chocolates are so pretty we all joke that they actually look like soap. The taste is a treat - sweet, crunchy and creamy. A great combination of textures and not overpoweringly cloying.

While the price means they can't be an everyday chocolate, I'm glad I tried them and I'll have to remember them for the next special occasion.
